Among all the videos I saw on UA-cam about making absorbent panels ... no one has made or shared very strong carbon absorbing panels ... I mean exactly the same tuned absorbent panels with a membrane from the Dennis Field acoustic channel ...

how much did these end up weighing?

I just made some pretty similar absorption corners with wood fiber (AFR5). Acoustic measurements before and after were clear : this works pretty well from 200 to 700 Hz. But that's not enough for most rooms. We need to tame those low lows. Depending on your room, look for modes around 40-60 Hz. This is where real bass traps will come in handy. My next step : build a Helmholtz resonator bass trap tuned to tame the 43Hz mode that's killing my room sound. Which is better wool rock sonorock or safe n sound?

That stuff you used only adequate in the midrange and higher frequencies. I'm sure your "acoustic treatment" is perfect for against comb filtering above lets say 200-250Hz but it does absolutely nothing with much lower frequencies. If I'm wrong you should be able to prove it with measurement data. Did it improve the boominess in the lowest frequency range? I highly doubt. After all it is your room I'm just frustrated by the fact that so many people believe this nonsense and some of them even promoting it by making videos like this. Cheers

Where do you get the absorbing material?

Good day sir, i have a question. Data that i have says, that there must be air space between wall and bass trap. Maybe that about thick and flat rectangular bass traps. I am very confused about acoustic treatment, i have found no universalized and simple information step by step... Did you used any calculators to count needed thickness of rockwool? And room modes, you calculated them?

What type of fabric should we use to wrap it?

can i use rockwool only for the front layer instead of filling the whole area?

Made by the cardboard isn't a bad idea. Lighter and dustless.
